Conifers Collection
Conifers are cone bearing trees, most of which retain their leaveds (needles) all year long. Although conifers such as White Pine (the Maine state tree), hemlock, and spruce maybe be found throughout the Arboretum, this collection represents North American varieties chosen for their interesting characteristics. Note the weeping white pine in the foreground of this picture, for example.
